Welcome to Cañada College! We hope you are able to settle in to campus and become a part of the Cañada family! This page will be a resource for the information discussed at the New Faculty Orientation, and is updated semi-annually with pertinent information.
Outcome: Participants attending this orientation will be able to identify support areas for students and themselves.
NOTE: The agenda is flexible and will change based on the participants' needs. Also, colleagues will stop by to introduce themselves and welcome you!

Important Upcoming Dates for Spring 2018
- Thursday, 11 January, and Friday, 12 January: Cañada Opening Days/Flex Days (including first division meeting of the semester!)
- Tuesday, 16 January: First day/evening of classes
- TBA: AFT/Academic Senate Orientation on Faculty Evaluations (a must for all evaluees and evaluators!)
- Monday, 5 February: Census Day (for most semester-length classes--check WebSMART for the exact day for each of your courses)
- Thursday, 8 March: Mid-semester Flex Day (no classes that day)
- 25-31 March: Spring Break
- Thursday, 26 April: Last day for students to withdraw from a course with a W (and last day for faculty to enter Early Alerts via WebSMART)
- 19-25 May: Final Exams
