Reassigned Time Appeal Process
Decisions regarding reassigned time can be appealed for either of the following criteria:
- a violation of process, or
- new information exists regarding significant changes to the proposed activities.
An appeal consists of a statement (no more than one page) and supporting documentation.
The appeal shall be submitted jointly to the Academic Senate President, IPC faculty
co-chair, and the VPI. Appeals must be submitted no later than three weeks before
the end of the academic year in order to allow sufficient time for review.
In all cases, you are encouraged to engage the IPC to understand the reasons for the
decision and to work together to determine whether revision of the RRP might prove
more fruitful than an appeal.
