Welcome to the Office of Planning, Research and Institutional Effectiveness (PRIE) at Cañada College. Reporting to the president, our work is driven by the Mission-Vision-Values of the college and is dedicated to supporting the institution's Educational Master Plan and strategic priorities as outlined in the Strategic Plan. 

We provide support in the area of research, strategic planning, student learning outcomes, administrative systems, accreditation, and governance process to help better understand and serve our community and our students. We support the planning and decision-making process at Cañada College that focuses on student success. All research conducted and used for dialogue, reflection, planning and decision-making comes from data that are accurate, tested for validity and significance, current and complete, and derived from reliable sources.



The Office of Planning, Research and Institutional Effectiveness (PRIE) provides guidance and leadership for the College’s institutional planning processes—including the development, production, distribution, monitoring, and assessment of the Strategic Plan, Educational Master Plan, and other College plans. In addition, PRIE also supports accreditation efforts.  



PRIE provides guidance, research, data analysis in support of student learning outcomes, institutional outcomes, planning activities, and other measures of student success and institutional effectiveness. PRIE also provides leadership and consultation for survey development, deployment, analysis, and feedback to appropriate stakeholders.
