We are looking for both new and experienced part-time educators in the education and human development field. Whether you are a seasoned industry professional, currently working as an educator, a recent college graduate, or looking for a career change, we are interested in hearing from you.
Our adjunct faculty teach courses in fall, spring and summer session in 6- to 18-week sessions, depending on the course scheduling. Our online courses are held in our current Learning Management System, Canvas.

If you are interested in applying, submit your application, resume and cover letter to our Part-Time Early Childhood Education Instructor Pool available through the District link below. On your cover letter, include the courses you would be interested in teaching!

If you are new to teaching, we also encourage you to apply to the San Mateo Community College District (SMCCD) Faculty Diversity Internship Program (FDIP).
Eligible applicants for FDIP are:
graduate students within one year of meeting regular faculty minimum qualifications (MA/MS or doctoral degree) in the discipline in which they would teach;
persons who meet regular faculty minimum qualifications but who lack teaching experience; or,
industry professionals who possess any license or certificate to do the work in their field and (1) be within one year of completing the associate degree and have six years industry experience in the discipline, or (2) have completed the associate degree and have completed five years of industry experience in that discipline.
