Overview
Welcome to the Education & Human Development (EHD) Department at Cañada College. We support students interested in working with children and families in their communities. Whether exploring careers in education, social work, and/or community organizations, EHD can help you achieve your goals.
Education Pathways: Students may choose from the following programs:
Early Childhood Education (ECE) - Become an early childhood educator and earn certificates and/or degrees towards transfer and the Child Development Permit.Inclusion Support- Pursue a teaching career working with children with disabilities in either self-contained or inclusive learning environments. Multilingual Language Learners- Acquire the knowledge and skills to effectively engage with young dual-language or multilingual learners. Youth & School-Age - Complete coursework to gain foundational skills to work in after-school programs and in diverse learning settings.
Social Work & Human Services Pathways: Students interested in social work and related professions may complete the Social Work & Human Services Associate in Arts Degree to Transfer.
