Prospective Interns

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) is excited to mentor future educators and welcomes students to apply to intern in our department.  

 

DRC Counseling Internships:

Requirements:

The counseling internship positions are open to registered practicum students currently enrolled in an accredited master’s program. One-on-one clinical experience is preferred but not required.

 

Position Compensation:

Internship positions are nonpaid positions. Hours will be compensated by credits from interns' universities.

 

Process:

1) Submit your resume on the DRC Counseling Internship Application If you have trouble clicking on the link, please contact the front office for assistance at canadadrc@smccd.edu.

2) Applications are reviewed during the first month of every semester.  If your application is selected, the staff will contact you for an interview within the first six weeks of the semester.

3) If you are offered a internship position, you will have to be cleared by the college's Human Resources policies (e.g. background check, TB test).

 

Other DRC Internships:

In order to qualify for an internship, you must be receiving internship credit at an accredited college or university.
