The Transfer to UC Merced Bootcamp is a three-day extended orientation to UC Merced organized by the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Center at UC Merced. The three-day event will take place in April to coincide with Preview (BobCat) Day. It will involve tours of laboratory facilities, and workshops on how be successful transfer applicants, and meetings with key personnel including Transfer Admission Specialists, DARTS (Degree Attainment for Returning and Transfer Scholars Program) program, advisors and representatives from Natural Science and School of Engineering, STEM Center (campus resources for students), UROC (research opportunities for undergrads), and student organizations (SHPE, SWE, SACNAS). The students will also perform experiments and collect samples while visiting the Yosemite National Park.
