Scholarship

Each year the Social Sciences award one or more scholarships to students majoring in a Social Science discipline and transferring to a four-year university.

Eligibility

• Cañada student transferring in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026.
• Majoring in Anthropology, Communication Studies, Economics, Ethnic Studies, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Psychology, or Sociology.
• Minimum 3.5 GPA.

How to Apply

1. Follow the instructions on the Financial Aid Scholarships web page.
2. Include a letter of recommendation (preferably from a Social Sciences Professor).
3. In your personal statement, address your commitment to a Social Sciences major, career path, or life philosophy.
