Puente Club

About

The Puente Club is a subset of the Cañada College Puente Project a program that combines accelerated instruction, intensive academic counseling, and mentoring by members of the community.

The purpose for the existence of this club is:

• Increase community service opportunities
• Support low income students in developing professional skills
• Increase visibility of the Puente Program on campus

The Club goals are:

• Promote service learning on and off campus
• Develop student leaders
• Increase transfer opportunities within the community

Possible Club Activities for the Year:

• Fall fundraiser
• Celebrate Latinx cultural events with the Puente Club
• Beach Clean Up
