Cañada College is so proud of you! You did it! We recognize what it has taken for both you and your loved ones to get to this time in your life, and we want to celebrate you! We proudly invite our 2024 Cañada graduates to participate in our End of the Year Ceremonies. These ceremonies center around the cultural identities and backgrounds that our graduates hold. Each event is intentionally designed to highlight, affirm, and joyously celebrate what it has taken for you to accomplish this goal.
Please note, these end-of-the-year cultural celebrations are in addition to your main Commencement graduation with the entire campus. If you are also participating in the main all-campus Commencement, please be sure to RSVP at https://canadacollege.edu/commencement/index.php
AANHPI Graduation Ceremony

Cañada College is proud to invite you to our inaugural Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Graduation Recognition Ceremony on Monday, Monday 13th, 2024. The ceremony celebrates your higher education completion and achievement. This event is open to AANHPI students graduating and/or transferring from Cañada and their friends, family and loved ones. Dinner will be served.

LatinX Graduation Recognition Ceremony

Cañada College is proud to invite you to our Annual Latinx Graduation Recognition Ceremony. The event is intended to highlight the achievement of higher education completion in all degree fields for the Latinx student community. This event is open to Latinx students graduating and/or transferring from Cañada and their friends and family.

The San Mateo County Community College District is proud to invite you to our Second Annual Lavender Graduation, hosted at Cañada College. This event will celebrate the achievements of LGBTQIA+ identified students at Cañada, College of San Mateo, and Skyline who are receiving an Associates Degree, Certificate, or transferring. The event will feature queer performers, student speakers, and a recognition ceremony for students in attendance.

SMCCCD Migration Celebration

The SMCCCD Undocumented Community Centers (UCC) will be hosting an event to celebrate
the accomplishments of GRADUATING, TRANSFERRING &/OR DEGREE RECEIVING (AA, AT, Certificate)
Undocumented/AB540/DACA Students, Students from Mixed Status Families, and/or active
UCC student allies from across the district.
If you're interested in being a graduate in the celebration please fill out the form as soon as possible (space is limited).
The Migration Celebration will taking place in person at College of San Mateo on Saturday, May 11th from 11am - 1pm*

Umoja District-Wide Celebration

Join us for the annual celebration of the Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College Umoja Communities. Students and their families from all three programs are invited to attend, and the celebration will include dinner, speakers, and the annual awarding of graduation sashes! This year’s celebration will be hosted at CSM’s Bayview Dining Room in Building 10.
