All students must complete the college application. Completing the college application will generate your college ID G-number. You will need this ID G-number for everything at the college. A completed college application and class registration will also generate a college email address. This is how you will receive all your college correspondence. When you fill out the college application, it's important to remember to choose concurrent enrollment on the enrollment information page.
All prospective students must take the college placement exam for English, reading and math. Applicants must take the placement exams before the Middle College application March 15th deadline. Your placement will determine the college classes you may take. The exam is computerized and self-paced and could take 1.5 to 3.5 hours. You will need your college ID G-number to make an appointment. On the day of the exam, you must bring your college ID G-number and photo ID.
NOTE: Picture ID on mobile phone is not acceptable.
Please arrive ten minutes early to register. You will receive a printout of your results at the end of the exam. Please save these results.
Placement test dates: Saturday March 2nd at 9:00am and 1:00pm/ Tuesday March 12th at 4:00pm/ Saturday March 16 at 9:00am and 1:00pm

All applicants must submit a classd 1-2 page essay, double spaced. Please submit a classd 1-2 page double spaced writing sample. The purpose of this exercise is two-fold: to provide a writing sample so we can see your skill level, and to get to know you better.
Topic: Successful Middle College students are independent, motivated, hard workers. They don’t give up when confronted with difficulties, they ask for help when needed, and they manage their time well.
Prompt: Describe a time when you have shown resilience, persistence, maturity, and self-direction.
Recommendation forms should be given to two teachers and your guidance counselor.
Applicants not currently enrolled in a SUHSD school must also provide the most recent copy of their high school transcript and attendance report. Please fax these documents to 650-306-3128 or email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Once all components are complete, intake interviews will be scheduled with each student and her/his parent or guardian. Middle College faculty will contact applicants to schedule the interview.
