Fall 2025 Middle College Application

All students must complete the college application. Completing the college application will generate your college  ID G-number. You will need this ID G-number for everything at the college. A completed college application and class registration will also generate a college email address. This is how you will receive all your college correspondence. When you fill out the college application, it's important to  select "Summer" for the term applying.

All applicants must submit a 1-2 page, double spaced writing sample. The purpose of this exercise is two-fold: to provide a writing sample so we can see your skill level, and to get to know you better.

Topic: Successful Middle College students are independent, motivated, hard workers. They don’t give up when confronted with difficulties, they ask for help when needed, and they manage their time well.

Prompt: Describe a time when you have shown resilience, persistence, maturity, and self-direction.

Send the essay as a PDF attachment to canadamiddlecollege@smccd.edu Please do not mail hard copies or fax writing samples.

MC requires 3 letters of recommendation:1 School Counselor Recommendation and 2 Teacher Recommendations. The teacher recommendations should preferably be from your CURRENT math and English teachers.

Please send these forms to your counselor and teachers so they can complete your recommendations:
