The Business Department offers degrees in the following:

  1. Associates Degrees for Transfer (AD-T) - Business Administration
  2. Associates in Science (A.S.) - Business Administration
  3. Associates in Science (A.S.) - Business Management
  4. Associates in Science (A.S.) - Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
  5. Certificate of Achievement - Business Administration
  6. Certificate of Achievement - Entrepreneurship and Small Business Management
  7. Certificate of Achievement - Business Information Worker

AD-T and A.S. degrees are approximately 60 semester credits. Certificates of Achievement are approximately 18 - 21 units each. The majority of our business classes are 3 semester units each. Full-time students take 12 or more units per semester. Students also have the option of attending college part-time depending on their schedule.

We offer a variety of classes during the fall and spring semesters, as well as during summer session. We have traditional day courses, evening courses, online and hybrid courses.

Cañada College is in a three-college district along with the College of San Mateo (CSM) off of highway 92 in San Mateo and Skyline College in San Bruno. Students can take classes across the district at any of the three colleges to count towards their degree or certificate. See an academic counselor for more information.

Our students transfer to UC Davis, UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, UC Santa Cruz, San Francisco State University (SFSU), San Jose State University (SJSU), CSU East Bay (Hayward), Menlo College, and Notre Dame de Namur University.

Here is what you should expect to achieve as a student in the Business Administration program:

  • Design and manage business documents using current technology to engage in creative problem solving. 
  • Communicate an understanding of business concepts professionally through written, oral and visual presentations using current technology.
