Promise Scholarship

Apply for our Promise Scholarship which covers tuition, student fees, textbook and counseling support for the first year of college!

  Eligibility Requirements

  • Students who have recently completed their highschool equivalency through the GED, HiSET, and TASC tests or Adult Education
  • Complete FAFSA or California Dream Act application
  • Plan to enroll full-time at Cañada College to earn a certificate or degree.

  What It Covers

The Promise Scholarship will cover all student fees and textbook assistance for the first year that a student is enrolled (beginning in Fall semester and continuing through Spring semester and Summer session).

  • Student Body Fee
  • Textbook Support
 Only Cañada Fees are covered by this scholarship.

  Recipient Responsibilities

Recipients of the Promise Scholarship must agree to:

  • Maintain full-time status at Cañada College
  • Maintain academic progress, a minimum of cumulative GPA of 2.0, and a completion rate of above 50%
  • Declare a major by the start of Spring 2019
  • Complete a comprehensive Student Educational Plan (SEP)

  •   The Promise Scholarship is not open until Spring 2018 for the 18-19 academic year.
