Apply for Spring 2025 Degree and Certificate
The last day for students to apply for their Spring 2025 Degree and Certificate and be included in the Commencement program is Friday, April 11, 2025. Students must meet with a counselor to submit the graduation petition. Please schedule an appointment through the Student Success Link portal or by contacting the Welcome Center at (650) 306-3452 or canadawelcomecenter@smccd.edu.
We recommend that students make an appointment as soon as possible.
Note: Students applying after Friday, April 11, 2025, may still
participate in the Commencement ceremony, however, name will not appear
in the Commencement program. In addition to the students who are grad
candidates for the Spring 2025 term, students who were confirmed and
awarded a degree/certificate for the Summer 2024 and Fall 2024 term are
also invited to participate in the Commencement ceremony.
Financial Aid Deadline April 2
The
priority deadline for financial aid in California has extended to April
2. Now is the time to complete your Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA).

Upcoming Summer & Fall Registration Dates
Priority registration for Summer 2025 begins April 8 and for Fall 2025 on April 30. To qualify for priority registration, you must have an updated Student Education Plan (SEP) on file by noon on April 4 for Summer 2025 and by noon on April 25 for Fall 2025. To create or update your SEP, please schedule an Academic Counseling Appointment on the Student Success Link page. Students who meet this deadline will receive a registration appointment via email or text and can register through WebSMART starting at 7 a.m. on their assigned date. If you miss the SEP deadline, registration opens later: April 15 for Summer 2025 and May 14 for Fall 2025. Celebrate Women's History Month
March
is Women’s History Month! Celebrate by honoring the achievements and
contributions of women throughout history and check the college calendar for upcoming events. Show your support by using a special Zoom backgrounds designed by Cañada Students in the Menlo Studio program.
Apply for a Free $200 Clipper Card or FasTrak Transponder
The Community Transportation Benefit Program (or Highway 101 Program) will provide a FREE $200 Clipper Card or FasTrak Transponder.
- The Clipper Card is valid for SamTrans, BART and Caltrain
- The Transponder pays for Bay Area tolls
Eligibility criteria:
- Resident of San Mateo County, and
- Age 18 or older, and
- Earning an individual income at or below 60% of San Mateo County's Area Median Income (AMI). Please see details in the application below.
- Have not received this benefit in the previous 12 months
Please
note that if you applied for, or received, the Way2Go bus pass, you are
still eligible to apply for this benefit. Please fill out this application form and attend Cañada College’s Transportation Day on Tuesday, April 16 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in The Grove.
