Veterans Resource and Opportunity Center (VROC)

Cañada College is proud to introduce the Veteran Resource & Opportunity Center’s addition of Patricia "Trish" Guevarra as the VROC Program Services Coordinator. Trish was a dependent whose father served 20 years in the U.S. Navy. She graduated from CSU San Marcos with a B.A. in Social Science and in Criminal Justice and Criminology.  Her experience growing up in a military family and as a former VA Certifying Official at the College of Alameda has contributed to her dedication to support student veterans and dependents.  Both VROC and Trish are committed to the task of comprehensively supporting veteran needs while in attendance at Cañada College and beyond. VROCs’ vision is to provide veterans, of all eras, returning to school with personalized service and encouragement through connection with admissions & records/counseling services/financial-aid, fellow veterans, and veteran related agencies and organizations.

If you are a veteran or know someone who is considering returning to school and want to know your options, you are invited to contact Trish Guevarra, VROC Program Services Coordinator at  (650) 381-3528 or email: guevarrap@smccd.edu to answer your questions concerning Cañada College. Feel free to stop by building 9, 2nd floor, Learning Center, (you are invited to the luncheon as well) and the current office hours are Tuesday 0830–1630.  Tuesday luncheon at 1300.
