The Theatre Arts Department at Cañada College is an exciting, hands-on program that offers meaningful, engaging projects in acting, playwriting, directing, and design that get you on your feet and working!

A Creative and Supportive Community
There is truly something special about the Theatre Arts Department.
It’s a community of students who want to stay late to rehearse their scene because it’s fulfilling and challenging and fun, they take on extra work, writing their own scenes and monologues and workshopping them here in the theatre with their instructors and with their peers.
Collaboration and Connection
Students here really bond with each other, there is a deep level of trust here, because we are a community of creativity, respect, passion, exploration, and enthusiasm. Students here want to work, with me and with each other.
