Academic Programs

Cañada offers a broad range of classes to suit many needs. Students can prepare to transfer to a four year institution, earn an Associate Degree, or complete basic skills classes, including ESL, to prepare for college level classes. Classes are offered during the day, evening and on weekends. A list of programs is available at https://canadacollege.edu/degrees/

Catalog

The current catalog may be purchased through the college bookstore or obtained free online at https://canadacollege.edu/catalogschedule/

Schedule

The most recent class schedules can be found online or at local libraries. WebSMART provides two ways to find classes: a dynamic Searchable Schedule of Classes for Cañada, CSM and Skyline; and an alphabetical listing by individual campus. Use WebSMART to confirm class dates, times, room numbers, instructor names, etc.

Transcript Requests

A transcript is an official record of a student's academic work at Cañada College. A single transcript will contain a student's work from all three colleges in the San Mateo County Community College District. You will need to only request one transcript if you attended multiple colleges in this District. You can review the procedures for ordering a transcripts on http://smccd.edu/transcript/request.php. Applying as an International Student

The application process for international students can be found by visiting the International Student Website.

Applying for Financial Aid

All applicants interested in receiving federal and some types of state financial aid must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  The first step in applying for Financial Aid is to complete a FAFSA application at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Wait approximately one week and then you can view your outstanding financial aid requirements through WebSMART. Click on the "Students" tab, then the financial aid tab. You will need social security number(s), prior year's tax information and some additional information for yourself, spouse and/or your parent(s).

All course descriptions are available online at our Online Catalog or Web Schedule for times and schedules

Registration Appointment
  • New students will receive their registration appointment once they have completed the orientation and advising session.
  • Continuing, some Returning (based on academic history), and Personal Enrichment students will be notified by email of their WebSMART registration date.
How to Register

After completing the previous steps, register online using WebSMART on or after your assigned registration date. Click here if you need step-by-step instructions on using WebSMART to register.

Cañada College is easily reached by SamTrans Bus. From the Redwood City Caltrain Station, take SamTrans Bus 274; Destination should say "Cañada College." It will take you directly to the campus. Call 1-800-660-4BUS for schedules and routes as not all buses run every day or check online for current route and schedule information.
