April 9 Information Night to Focus on New Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health

National University will offer the degree at Cañada College.

National University, the newest partner at the Center for University & International Studies at Cañada College, will host a pair of prospective student information sessions to discuss the Bachelor of Science in Allied Health degree it will offer at Cañada. The info sessions will provide details about the new program and give students a chance to ask questions. They are scheduled for:

  • Monday, April 9, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Building 2, Room 10, Cañada College
  • Tuesday, April 10, 5 to 6:30 p.m., Building 6, Room 203, Skyline College

Patric Schiltz, the director of the Allied Health Program at National University, will host the sessions. They are free and open to the public. Attendees at the Cañada event can park for free in student lots after 6 p.m. 

The new degree program provides a broad-based foundation in global and national health care issues and trends, ethical and legal issues, health promotion and disease prevention, evidence-based practice and allied health care research, health care systems management and health care-based informatics. Graduates of the program are prepared to assume supervisory, management, or educational positions. Classes will be taught at Cañada and offered in the evenings to allow working adults to continue with their daytime jobs.
