FCC Launches Emergency Broadband Benefit

The Emergency Broadband Benefit will provide a discount of up to $50 per month toward broadband service for eligible families and households who are struggling to stay connected during the COVID-19 pandemic. Qualifying households on Tribal lands can receive a discount of up to $75 per month for service. Eligible households can also receive a discount of up to $100 for the purchase of a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from participating providers. Fall Global Virtual Team Internship Program

Intern internationally from home this fall to complete a team project for a company in Australia, Canada, England, India, Japan, South Africa, or the U.S. (New York or San Francisco). Internships run from September 13 – December 3, 2021. Apply here by Thursday, May 27, 2021 to be considered for the Fall Global Virtual Team Internship Program and its accompanying scholarship. Due to the emergence of COVID-19 early last year, Cañada College did not hold a 2020 commencement ceremony but promised our 2019–2020 graduates one at a future date. On Friday, May 28, 2021, Cañada Collegewill premiere the 2020 Virtual Commencement ceremony on YouTube at 5:30 p.m. The event will be followed by the 2021 Virtual Commencement at 7 p.m. Both ceremonies will be available to watch any time after the premiere.
