To honor our nationalities, culture, heritage and families we request that you upload a photo that depicts your ancestors, your family or any other image that represents you! These images will be displayed on our banner for AANHPI Heritage Month in front of the Cultural Center: https://forms.gle/Kj8c4uAM4FA44eJ67 You may upload up to five photos. Please upload original or scanned photos by Friday, March 15 Email Mahitha Rao or Michiko Kealoha  for questions or if you are having difficulty uploading your photos.

Important FAFSA Updates – Priority Deadline April 2, 2024

The Department of Education has implemented the FAFSA Simplification Act for 2024-2025. This means the FAFSA has undergone a major overhaul of its application process. Unfortunately, there have been significant challenges for students and families in completing the FAFSA due to issues in the application. We closely monitor the Department of Education’s 2024-2025 FAFSA Issue Alerts  for resolutions. However, do not let the challenges prevent you from starting and completing the 24-25 FAFSA. The priority deadline is April 2. If you plan to transfer to a four-year institution in Fall 2024, please review your new school’s financial aid website for more information. If you plan to attend SMCCCD in Fall 2024, please visit our FAFSA Simplification website for the most updated information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Cañada Financial Aid Department.
