The Coaching Staff
Katie joins the Colts Family after 3 years as an assistant coach under Cheryl Owiesny at De Anza College in Cupertino. Katie also brings experience from club coaching for the Earthquakes (formerly SJFC) where she coached multiple youth teams in both outdoor soccer and Futsal. Playing Experience
A Bay Area native, Katie Osborne is from San Jose California. As a youth player, Katie played for the DeAnza Force who captured 2 state cup championships. She also participated in district, state, and regional ODP. Katie was also named to Soccer Buzz’s list of top 50 high school recruits in the nation. After club soccer, she played Division I soccer at Loyola Marymount University. In college she was awarded such honors as WCC player of the week, and is still listed in the “all- time” awards under games played and game wining goals. As a two year team captain, Katie also earned a number of academic honors including NSCAA Scholar Athlete, All West Region Team, and WCC Commissioners Honor Roll.
After college Katie was a member of the US women’s National Futsal team where she served as team captain at the AMF Women’s Futsal World cup in 2013, and the International Pacific Cup in 2014.
Katie received a bachelors degree in biology from LMU. After graduating from LMU Katie earned both her teaching credential and Masters Degree in Exercise Physiology from San Jose State University. After graduating from San Jose State she became a lecturer for the university, teaching Kinesiology classes such as “Diversity, Stress and Health” and “Physical Fitness and Nutrition.”
