Erik Gaspar - Head Coach

Coach Erik Gaspar is in his 8th year at Cañada College, after a successful 2018 campaign where the Cañada College Colts finished Ranked 7th in Northern California Region the Colts finished 11-5-3 overall, and 7-3-2 in Coast Conference play. Coach Gaspar brings a wealth of experience not only at the Community College level but also as the Head Coach from two successful high school programs along with club soccer experience throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
He led Piedmont Hills to promotion to the BVLA Mt. Hamilton Division after his first year in charge. Coach Gaspar established a winning tradition at Piedmont Hills and culture which included the creation of Junior Varsity team. After three successful years at Piedmont Hills, He took over as the Head Coach at Valley Christian High School of the competitive West Catholic Athletic League. Coach Gaspar has 10 years of northern California club soccer coaching experience, his last stint was with the De Anza Force Soccer Club in Cupertino.
Prior to being hired as the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Cañada at age 24, he served as an assistant for Joe Silveira at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose.
Coach Erik Gaspar holds a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from Saint Mary’s College of California with an emphasis in Team and Sport Management. And currently holds a US Soccer Federation “D” license.
Erik resides in San Jose where he is happily married to wife Tamra Gaspar and daughters Dani and Stevie Gaspar.

 

 

Richard Andrade - Assistant Coach

 

Coach Richard Andrade is in his second year at Canada College.  Richard has been in and out of coaching for the last 23 years.  Throughout the years, Richard has had the pleasure of coaching in the SFSFL, high school teams throughout the Bay Area, as well as positions as OPD Goalkeeping coach for District 1 and coaching director for the Pacifica Xtreme Soccer Club.  He started his playing career at Skyline College, mentored by Frank Mangiola, polishing his abilities to finish his college career at UC Davis.  While playing in the premier leagues, Richard played for Sons of Italy Soccer Club out of the SFSFL and Portuguese FC out of Sacramento.  Some of his best memories were his brief time playing internationally in South America and Canada.  In his older years, Richard continued his play in the Masters league competing against some of the leading players in the Bay Area.Coach Richard Andrade is currently pursuing his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from California Baptist University where he can apply his learnings to his soccer experience.  Richard currently holds a U.S. Soccer Federation “D” license.


Billy Brush - Assistant Coach 

Billy Brush is in his first year with the Colts. Billy is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, earning his BS, majoring in Biology, and completing the Pre-Med track.  He is currently in pursuit of a Masters Degree (M Ed) at University of Missouri Columbia.  Billy is currently engaged as a candidate within the USSF  “A” license 2019 Cohort 

While playing at Pitt Billy received Big-East Conference athletic and scholar honors.  Leading his team in scoring as a senior, he was invited into the MLS supplemental draft as a forward.

Billy has professional playing experience overseas with Frankfurt Eintracht reserves “Oberliga” and semi-professionally in the US with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds “USL.”
