Psychological Services Program
Building 9, Rm 130

At the Psychological Services Department at Cañada College, we believe that a successful college experience requires, as its foundation, a sense of emotional well-being. To this end, we offer a safe and trusting environment to facilitate mental health care by providing the following type of supportive psychotherapy for registered students at no charge:
- Individual face to face therapy
- Couples’ therapy
- Group therapy
Staffed by a licensed supervising clinician (Siew Jolin Kuek, Psy.D) and four doctoral level clinical psychology interns (Ms. Courtney Cross, Rev. Reynold Fujikawa, Ms. Carlee Horning and Ms. Leigha Ward), therapy is provided by appointment only. Please contact Siew Jolin Kuek, Psy.D., by calling (650) 306-3152 or by email at kueks@smccd.edu to schedule an appointment. Our department is open during the following hours when school is in session:
- Mondays 9am – 6pm
- Tuesdays 9am – 2pm
- Wednesdays 9am – 6pm
- Thursdays 9am – 7pm
- Fridays 9am – 1pm
Our department has drop-in hours from 12pm to 1pm, Monday to Friday, for when students do not have a prior appointment but need to speak with someone on short notice.
It is our hope that students in need will make use of this service and that faculty will make the necessary recommendations for such support for their students whenever the need arises.
