Accreditation Oversight

In January 2008 the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges issued a letter of Warning to Cañada College. An Accreditation Oversight Steering Committee has been established to ensure that Cañada College acts swiftly, collegially and with integrity in preparing a response to the three recommendations made by ACCJC.

The first Follow-up report was submitted to ACCJC in October 2008. Upon review of the report ACCJC removed Cañada College from Warning and granted the college full accreditation affirmation.

A second Follow-up report is due October, 2009. This report will document the many additional and ongoing improvements the college has made to its procedures, processes and structures.
