Career 137 - Life and Career Planning

Personal and career inventories are evaluated. Career options are researched and job search techniques are developed. Course stresses the significance of clearly defined values and the development of strategies and goals for life. CSU:E1
HSCI 100 - General Health Science
(5 high school credits and 3 college credits)
Introduction to basic concepts of personal health with an emphasis on promotion of physical and emotional well-being. Analysis of contemporary health issues with a focus on detection, treatment, and prevention of health problems. Discussion of physiological, social, and psychological factors influencing the health and well-being of individuals throughout the life span. CSU:E1, UC
SOCI 100 - Introduction to Sociology CANCELLED for Fall 2008

Introductory course on the identification and analysis of basic social structures and forces that motivate and direct social behavior. SPCH 120 - Interpersonal Communication CANCELLED for Spring 2009

This course provides an introduction to the theory, basic principles, and methods of oral communication, with emphasis on improving speaking and listening skills within the context of interpersonal communication.
