Transfer Program - History

History is the study of continuity and change in human societies over time. It is by nature an extremely broad discipline that includes an analysis of individuals and groups, events and phenomena, long-term trends and short-term trends, institutions, societies, and cultures. Our history program at Canada is designed to offer history majors and those interested in history not only basic transfer courses, but also the opportunity to receive a broader background in both U.S. history and the history of different regions in the world. The faculty of the history department includes specialists in many different areas of history, and thus we are able to offer our students a solid program that will prepare them to transfer to any four year university.

History majors commonly become teachers, professors, lawyers, journalists, public policy professionals, politicians, diplomats, diplomatic core professionals, political activists, writers, civil servants, and city planners.
